Thanks for this really useful article. I think I'm going through the early stages of perimenopause. I just hope it's kinder to me than it was to other women in my family!

My mother experienced menopause at such an early age. It was a hassle to deal with, but we had a good doctor, and she was really reading up on the things she should do and take in.

Guess I'm the first. Menopause is a pain, regardless of one's age. Isn't it bad enough we have to put up with menses from our early teens to late 30's? Thats when many I know felt pre-menopause started. Then you put up with that which is nothing compared to menopause. Enough. Hormones are great, you feel better, sleep better...then the bulk of the medical field go through a knee jerk reaction and want all women off them. Fun. Am close to 60 and have been putting up with sleepless nights, forgetfulness, less energy, hot flashes now for 10 years............I'd love to have my hormones back.

Some say they get relief from Black Kolash, (not sure how that's spelled), it didn't do a thing for me.
