My silly leash pulling dog

by The Diva

I was just saying on one of my other blogs that my dog gave me a real work out today. I discovered that if I only used her leash on her rather than her prong collar as well as leash that I get a massive workout.

Of course … along with a workout I’m sure if I did this all the time I’d probably have more than a few injuries since I also have a bad back and bad knees. LOL But I’m guess I wouldn’t need to use something like Lipofuze as I have a feeling that with all that pulling on the leash that my dog does when she doesn’t have her prong collar on I must burn double the calories!

We were out talking with our neighbors and our dog Midnight was over excited and wanting to explored their yard and it was all I could do to just hold on to the leash! She’s crazy when she’s showing off in front of people she likes. Silly dog!

Getting a new Smartphone

by The Diva

I’ve had some awful cellphone experiences this week. Last week I was talking with my Cellphone provider and my contract had expired and somehow they managed to talk me into signing up for another three years and since my phone was 6 years old they sent me a free Blackberry.

The Blackberry arrived at my house on Monday, but since I don’t want a data plan I can’t even get the Wifi to work because it’s not free with the Blackberry. So … I’m returning the Blackberry and I guess I’ll be picking out another phone or maybe evening buying another phone elsewhere. I was even looking at this incredible s phone that might suit my needs – it’s an HTC … but I’d probably need a Data plan with it, so I’ll have to check that out.

Right now I’m seriously thinking about turning in the Blackberry and getting a Nokia N8 or a Samsung Colby Pro. I’m leaning more towards the Nokia. Does anyone have experience with either of these phones or have any other suggestions … keep in mind that I likely won’t be getting a data plan with the phone but I’d like to take advantage of being able to use Wifi if an when it’s available.

Time to get the trailer ready for summer travel

by The Diva

It seems like this month is going by so fast! Didn’t it just start? It seems that way to me.

Sometime in June my husband and I are going to take a short trip with our trailer, but before we can do that we need to get our trailer ready for travel. I hate to admit that it’s not in the best shape as it hasn’t been stored all that well. I think my husband said something about us having to replace the curt trailer hitch. I also need to top up all the summer supplies and towels and things like that too.

Do you have a trailer or a summer cabin that you use regularly each summer?

Skin problems getting worse

by The Diva

It seems like every month or so my skin is getting worse. I swear that the medication that I take for my migraines is causing my skin to break out. Ever since I started taking it last summer my skin has been getting worse and worse. I think it’s because the medication stops me from sweating and sweating actually helps wash your skin a little bit …

Anyway … now I’m trying to fix skin problems .. even problems like blackheads on nose and whiteheads etc. I hate them! I keep trying different things but nothing seems to help. I’m starting to think that I’m either going to have to stop taking the medication that’s helped my migraines so much or else see a dermatologist. I’ve got to do something.

Does anyone have any suggestions for skin problems? I feel like I’ve tried just about everything.

I have to start working out

by The Diva

I have to start getting in better shape. Now that the weather is getting better I want to start getting out for a long walk every day at the very least.

Consider that I’m home on medical leave and that I suffer from chronic pain it’s hard for me to plan a regular fitness regime because I just don’t feel well every day … in fact I barely ever feel well. So … I guess I just need to plan to do something daily that I should be able to do most days even if I don’t feel all that well. I figure that if I start feeling somewhat better after I begin walking regularly I could always add more workouts to my schedule if I can handle it.

Someone told me I should think about taking optimum nutrition pro complex but I think I’ll hold off talking any supplement for now until I see if I can just stick to walking regularly and also check out supplement with my doctor.

Do you have trouble getting into a regular fitness schedule? I know it’s probably a little harder for me since I’m in chronic pain, but I have to try.
