Travelling With the Kids? Choose a Child Friendly Hotel

by The Diva

If you are travelling with kids, there are some points to bear in mind.A swimming pool and play areas is not sufficient for kids; the hotel should have many more additional amenities in them to keep the children occupied during their stay.

It is preferable to stay in hotel rooms with fridges so that you can keep kids happy with cold drinks and snacks.Instead of an outdoor pool, it would be better if the hotel had an indoor pool or a play area to keep them occupied, just in case your outdoor plans are fouled by the weather.
You deserve some privacy, especially when on long trips, so choose hotels with separate living areas and bedrooms. There are many hotels with suites that give you the privacy you deserve on a trip with kids.

It is natural for kids to get hungry as soon as you arrive at your destination; so choose hotels with room service.Driving down to a restaurant or eatery to feed kids is really tiring immediately upon reaching your destination. You get time to unpack and unwind if you order food from room service for your hungry kids.

Look for hotels offering babysitting services. With babysitting services, you can safely go exploring as you know your kids are in safe hands. Some hotels organise great activities to keep the kids busy while adults get some time to themselves.
However, it is always better to do some research about the babysitting service before using them.Find out how much experience the baby sitter has, check on all their previous references and then spend some time with them to ensure you can get along well with the babysitter before entrusting your kids to them. Don’t neglect your kids even though they are with babysitters; check on them periodically and you will enjoy your holiday much better as you know what your kids are up to.

Choosing a Wedding Photographer Made Easy

by The Diva

A wedding is one of the most important events that will occur in a person’s life. Hours and hours go into all of the planning for the wedding. Probably all of the list of things to do in wedding planning are frustrating, stressful, and time consuming. That’s why it is critical that you do your homework when finding the right people for all the jobs. One of the very big jobs will be that of the photographer. From my experience as a San Diego wedding photographer I’ll show you it can be a few simple steps away.

Finding any wedding photographer is a huge task. There are a few important factors to think about when you make this important decision. The photos that you take away from your wedding are going to be the most memorable keepsakes that you have. The photos will be hanging on your walls for the rest of yourlife. One very obvious factor in deciding which photographer to choose is price. A lot of photographers will charge you a certain price for a specific lenght of time for the wedding. It is important to know what will be included with that price up front
price. When it comes to finding a wedding photographer, the biggest upside to pricing is there is a lot of competition. Remember, that a lot of photographers can and will negotiate their price a little bit to fit what you need.

Another thing to take into account when deciding is how much experience does this person have. Is this their first wedding or their hundredth? Their price might be a reflection of just how long and how many years of experience they have in business. Just because someone is experienced, doesn’t always translate into being a better photographer. Sometimes the photographers that are just starting their careers and are trying to build a name will turn out to be excellent. The advantage of a person like that and going with them is you know they are going to give it their best. In your search for a wedding photographer, you are going to find different levels of experience between them. When you do an interview of prospective photographers, it will give you a sense of what it will be like when you work with them.

A final thing for you to take into account when trying to decide is the personality the photographer has. Are they going to call all the shots and make all of the poses? Or will they allow the bride and groom to make some decisions? The other thing to consider is whether or not you want to be making decisions on the photos. The bride and grooom will have enough worries the day of the wedding. Take all of these things into account when considering which photographer to choose. If you do, you will have some wonderful photos to cherish the rest of your lives.  Take it from me, your experienced San Diego photographer.

What you need is a detailed travel plan so that your trip will be relaxing and enjoyable. There are many ways you can plan for your holiday. A quick and easy way, is to source relevant information online.

Turkey – Interesting destinations

If you are jetting to Turkey from Birmingham International Airport, you will be fasinated by the rich culture of the country. Turkey is neighboured by a total of eight nations. Due to its natural geographical location, which is in the middle of 2 continents, Turkey has a matchless mixture of Western and Eastern culture.

The antiquity of Turkey began from as early as the thirteenth century BCE. The 1st major empire belonged to the Hittites. Empires rose and fell during the years. As each empire gave way to stronger and more powerful empires, traces of its traditions were forgotten. Today, you can still see awesome ancient buildings such as The Celsus Library in Ephesus, the legendary walls of Troy (VII), and lots of others. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) is perhaps the most grand of all.

Spain – Interesting destinations.

Spain is a massive country with many alluring cities. It would be wise to focus on not too many cities so that you have more opportunity to really get to know the cities well. You may wish to visit Barcelona, which is the second biggest city in Spain. Many famous artists live in this city, so you bury yourself in one of the art museums and have a really brilliant time. Another elegant city is Valencia. As it is position near the ocean, many tourists return to the city to enjoy the beach each year.

Bulgaria

No doubt, Turkey and Spain each have rich culture. Perhaps Bulgaria is a country with enough cultural places of interest to outshine each of these countries! The man made sites include Rila Monastery, Boyana Church, Rock-Hewn Churches of Ivanovo, Thracian Tomb of Sveshtari, Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak, Madara Rider and the Ancient City of Nessebar. The only 2 natural sites are known as Pirin National Park and Srebarna Nature Reserve. For definate, that’s enough destinations to keep you busy all through the entire holiday.

You must be curious if such travel packages would be expensive. Just check out some of the online deals that are available on via popular travel sites. You may be stunned at how cheap the prices are. For a few hundred dollars, you can travel to many brilliant cities from Birmingham.

Five Luxury Destinations for 2009

by The Diva

While the media is full of doom and gloom over the finance crisis it does provide an opportunity for those still earning good money to experience luxury travel at a knock down price. As the rest of the world starts cutting back, it is now possible to book luxury holiday accommodation in some traditionally hard to get locations. If you can still afford it then this year is perfect to enjoy a destination with less crowds and better value. Short of ideas? Below are five well known luxury destinations around the world:

Australia’s Gold Coast:

More than 10 million people visit the Gold Coast every year, and 90% of them are domestic tourists. The beaches are part of a surfer’s paradise that stretches down the coast, and the high rise luxury hotels don’t detract from the tropical surroundings. Join in the fun, don’t let the locals be the only ones to enjoy all this? Try your hand at surfing, pamper yourself silly on the favorable exchange rate, and relax into the famous Aussie hospitality with stylish Gold Coast accommodation such as Q1 apartments.

Turkey’s Turquoise Coast:

You can find the Turquoise Coast where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Aegean. It’s often called the Turkish Riviera and it can seem hard to believe that all inclusive luxury can be had for under $100 per night. With the good exchange rates at the moment and close to year long season you can pick up great rates for beachfront accommodation. And the spas . . .you must pamper yourself with a Turkish bath trip after parasailing and snorkeling all day!

Fortaleza in Brazil:

Fortaleza, on the North Coast of Brazil, has been a fiercely guarded local luxury destination for years. Furnished condos are the place to stay, and the best are right on the beach. Surfing, sunbathing, deep sea fishing and water sports are all waiting. Flights via LAN are finally going direct from Miami starting this year so you don’t have to make the annoying transfer in Rio. Last year saw the end of a huge amount of refurbishments which means now is a perfect time to visit.

Hainan Island in China:

Known as the Hawaii of China, the Miss Universe contest is held here at the posh Sanya Resort. Private beaches, clear water, and stunningly delicious fresh seafood are just a few of the luxuries to be had here. Traditional Eastern reflexology and indulgent 4-hands massages make it easy to sink into the hammocks next to the reflecting pools in Hainan—just be mindful that you don’t stay forever!

Mayan Riviera in Mexico

The Yucatan peninsula is the place the head if you want to avoid the overdeveloped resorts of other areas. You’ll find all the trimmings you might expect for luxury five start resorts such as stunning gardens, pools and beaches with watersports. Tulum, Akumal, and Playa del Carmen are all home to fine hotels, while the cruise ships put in at Cancun and Cozumel. Mind the timing and you can swim with the dolphins without the cruise crowds, and enjoy all the luxury they leave behind when they get back on their boats.

Australia’s Best Adventure Destinations

by The Diva

While the economy is making people cautious with there money, adventure holidays offer an outlet for fun.  One way to exercise caution whilst still having adventure is by choosing holiday rentals in domestic getaways for your vacation this year.  Australian holiday accommodation prices are falling as owners and hoteliers put sales on to ensure a strong flow of traffic. With Australia being such a vast country you are bound to find an array of adventures to suit your style however unusual they may be.  Here are five of the top adventure destinations in the country to help you get started with your planning.

The Kimberly Region:

You’ll not be finding any posh holiday rentals out in the Kimberly, as this area caters to the truly adventurous.  Bush skills will come in handy as you explore the cliffs and gorges.  Hiring a guide might be advisable!  Many like to charter a flyover first and then land for a bit of trekking and camping.  Typically, overnights here will mean camping or rustic-style bed and breakfasts.

Great Dividing Range:

The mountains here are perfect for skiing, climbing and white-water rafting.  One can appreciate the challenge of getting up Mount Arapiles even if you’re not Australian.  Holiday accommodation here is usually a small hotel or ski lodge, with some camping available as well. You can’t ski during the summer months when the snow has all melted but the area still offers mountain biking, hiking, paragliding and more in the summer.

Murray River:

Winding along for 404 miles, the Murray River provides a wealth of adventure.  You can get holiday rentals for a spot of rafting, or book a multi-stop tour and do the length of it by canoe.Start at the NSW border and head for the coast – it’s a challenge that many try but few acheive.  Why not have a few bragging rights off your vacation this year by trying it?

Northern Territory (NT):

If you’re going off the beated track then trekking in the Northern Territory is serious business. The amazing views of the landscape and lack of any crowds make the challenge rewarding.  Aboriginal laws restrict some travel to marked trails for spiritual and safety reasons.  The less restricted areas still require you to check in with rangers, but the adventure of it all is thrilling.  You can camp, trek, climb, go four-wheeling or any number of other tough adventures. Make a Darwin holiday accommodation booking to start your trip and then head out to explore the state and it’s national parks.

Great Barrier Reef:

After all the inland adventures, head for the Great Barrier Reef.  Quintessentially Australian, holiday accommodation here is more than a simple bush camp.  You can live high while snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, paragliding and wave boarding.  The Reef is magnificent—there are so many adventures to be had in the water than you can almost forget the beautiful beaches.  Almost.Holiday accommodation rentals will get busy in the high season so book early but going away with a group of friends and having a week on the beach will be something you remember for a lifetime.  Small cottages, fancy furnished condos, and simple bed and breakfast boutiques are available. The regions most popular destinations are the Whitsunday Islands including Hamilton Island, Port Douglas and Cairns. Make sure you book Cairns accommodation or for any other popular area well in advance.
