Liposuction – What Is It All About?

by The Diva

You probably already know that liposuction is the process of removing excess body fat, but do you know anything else about liposuction? For instance, what made you decide to check into this procedure? Did a friend or relative have this done? Have you seen before and after pictures, perhaps of a specific targeted area that you may have been considering? There is more to this surgery than meets the eye and you need to be sure that you have an in-depth understanding of the entire liposuction procedure.

Many times you may hear, “It’s just liposuction surgery, so what’s the big deal?” The big deal is that this procedure is no different from any other surgery for any reason. There are always risks involved with invasive surgery and this one is no different. Some of the primary risks associated with it may include blood clots, infection, nerve damage and adverse reactions to the anesthesia. You must be sure that you fully understand pre-op liposuction, the procedure itself as well as post-op instructions. Failure to do so can result in complications or even death, so stay informed.

Having realistic expectations about liposuction results is a major key toward being a good candidate for the procedure, because the results after liposuction surgery are rarely perfect. Your doctor may tell you that if you have cellulite or stretch marks, then you are not likely to get the best results. It’s a good idea to write down any questions you have so that when you see the doctor there will be less chance of forgetting something important.

Of course, if you are not very healthy when considering this surgery, then you may not be an ideal candidate, as there may be more risks involved with someone in poor health. Certain prescriptions that you may be on can make a liposuction procedure unsafe. So be sure you tell your doctor exactly what you are taking or have taken and then you will be able to discuss alternatives, if any are available.

Some things that you can expect after surgery tend to be fairly common when talking about liposuction in general. Although each procedure will likely produce different effects in different people, there are some symptoms that appear in almost all of the procedures, such as swelling, bruising and tenderness. Your doctor will go over this information with you prior to surgery so that you may have some idea what to expect during your liposuction recovery.

Liposuction can be the answer for many people that are suffering from excess weight that will not come off with diet and exercise. No matter how much you try to lose those pockets of cellulite through diet and exercise they just seem to never disappear. Before you go under the knife by a cosmetic surgeon you can check out other methods to get rid of that cellulite or at least reduce how it looks. You can be the shape you want without the surgery. How Significant Is Cosmetic Surgery?

by The Diva

How many of your friends or acquaintances have had cosmetic surgery performed? Are there many of them? Does it tend to make you feel like you are the odd one, the one in the minority? Should they have just been happy with what they had or do you think having a choice is the best solution? Perhaps you and your friends feel that with so many advancements and improvements it would be a shame not to take advantage of the opportunity to make changes in yourself, despite what anyone else thinks.

This has been looked at and talked about for so long, along with being the subject of many talk shows and books, that it is difficult not to have an opinion. One person may say that if it is reconstructive surgery that is being performed, then it is ok. While a counterpart may believe that having that type of surgery for any reason, even if you are unhappy with your looks, is not ok. Is a surgery, especially an elective surgery, performed after a necessary operation considered frivolous? In other words, if you underwent surgery for something like a Mastectomy, would it be wrong to undergo another surgery to correct the appearance of your breasts? And what about surgeries to rid the body of excess fat, such as a liposuction procedure? A weight loss surgery such as an this may be considered totally cosmetic, but for those who are morbidly obese, this type of operation may be a life saver.

One of the most debated cosmetic surgery procedures is breast surgery. It is likely to be perceived as another type of frivolous procedure. However, as in the example above, does that sentiment remain the same when it is being performed due to something like the Mastectomy? Think about it. If people are saying that you should be happy with what you have, then in essence they are telling you that even though you underwent a horrible surgery, you should just be grateful you are here and that having any further surgery, even if it improves your appearance, would be frivolous and a waste.

Surgeries of this type are, of course, a personal choice. Perhaps it does seem strange to some that you would choose to have surgery for something that was not absolutely necessary. Maybe they think that having elective surgery is completely wrong, but wrong for whom? Is it wrong to want to look normal or even better than average? Should you have to walk around for the rest of your life and have a constant reminder of what you went through every time you look in the mirror?

For some, the term cosmetic surgery may automatically make them think that it is an unnecessary procedure, as cosmetic refers to appearance and in their minds it is a waste. Even so, do they have the right to try to make you change your mind or to try to make you feel ashamed of your decision? Or should they keep their mouths shut and get on with their own lives?

Cosmetic surgery may not be the answer you are looking for if you have small pockets of cellulite or are worried about beginning to form cellulite. Liposuction is not for everyone. It does rid the body of excess fat but it also comes with a huge price tag and some pain. Why not try out other methods before going to that extreme? There are pills and targeting exercises that can help reduce the bulge and there are also creams that can take away some of the cellulite deposits. Marriage Help – 8 Tips On How To Communicate Effectively In Your Marriage

by The Diva

Is it really possible to keep a marriage happy ever after?

To keep a marriage good you have to work on it. Both of you have to be ready to keep working on the relationship. To keep your relationship fresh and exciting, you will need a lot of tender loving care. There is always a giving and receiving in a relationship, if both of you are willing to do that, chances are high that your marriage will survive.

Apply these 8 tips on how to make your marriage work and you won’t have any problems:

1. It doesn’t matter if you have been together for a lot of years of if you just got married, to be able to build up a strong relationship you have to learn to communicate effectively. Try to listen to your partner to be certain that you are understanding what they are telling you. While talking to each other, give full attention to the conversation. It will help you greatly to understand them, when you are looking each other in the eyes when having a conversation. It is not enough to just listen to them. Show that you have everything understood that your partner has talked about.

2. Don’t suppose to know how your partner feels about something. It doesn’t mean if you like to do something, that they want to do it with you. Ask them! Don’t automatically assume they volunteer to do something with you, that you would like. Ask them first! Always give them the courtesy to see if they want to do it.

3. Catch them doing something good. When you see him/her doing something nice, tell them – I got you! Then go ahead and tell them how much you appreciate it that they have been doing such a wonderful thing. You’ll be surprised how far a little appreciation goes. When you make an effort to let your partner know they made you happy, you will find they will try to repeat doing kind things for the recognition.

4. Is there something that you both enjoy doing? Then do it at least one time a week together. Take a class together, go hiking, fishing, read poetry to each other. Look for any shared interests and keep doing them as often as possible.

5. Be the best friend of your partner. When they are working on something they really want, always cheer them on. Be there for them when they need it and provide a shoulder to cry on if necessary. Share dreams and goals and work together. Let them know you are proud of them when they accomplish goals.

6. Don’t make the mistake to ignore your partner. Don’t let yourself be so involved in your own life that you forget to be nice to your partner. Kiss and hug them every day. Don’t hang out with your friends the whole weekend or watch TV. Make it a point to do something each weekend with your partner and you will grow closer together and have more in common to talk about.

7. It is very important that you “never go to bed angry”, this might be hard sometimes, but it is vital. Once you let an anger simmer for too long, it becomes much easier to come to a full boil and before you know it, you never work out any problems you just go to bed or leave the house to avoid them. Learn to agree to disagree if need be to keep the peace. But this is only working if you are really honest with yourself and you are sure that its ok to agree to disagree, specifically when it is a smaller problem. Don’t waste time being angry about the small things.

8. It is OK to admit you are wrong. If you were wrong, admit it. Your pride will not keep you warm at night and a bad marriage is a high price to pay for it.

You can live together in harmony despite your individual differences. Practice these things and be sure to work out any fights before you go to bed.

Love and cherish each other. Build a strong bond by being loving and honest with each other. This will help you to make your marriage work.
